NON-CONTACT/TIPLESS

Tipless cantilever array is a new type of cantilever based on the unified mass probe technology. Multifunctional monolithic silicon AFM probe with 4 different tipless cantilevers on a single AFM holder chip, suitable for various applications: contact mode, force modulation mode, soft tapping mode and high frequency tapping/non-contact mode . The AFM holder chip conforms to industry standard sizes, so it is suitable for most commercial AFM systems. Compared to standard silicon cantilever beam arrays, these new array cantilever beams have excellent thickness uniformity, resulting in greatly reduced dispersion of force constants and resonance frequencies. These tipless cantilever arrays can be used as biosensors or chemical sensors in air and liquids. They are also ideal for other applications, such as stress sensing or nanomechanical mass measurement.

Compared with conventional single-cantilever AFM probes, the main advantage of this product is that the right cantilever can be selected for each application at the last minute. You no longer need to stock various AFM probes. However, this product does not mean that it can completely replace the comparable single-cantilever AFM probe, because the geometry of each all-in-one cantilever is different from the geometry of the comparable dedicated single-cantilever AFM probe.
